Like: Small, powerful suction, can pivot easily, light weight, easy cleaning. Dislike: Not as easy to vaccuum as my Hoover Power Drive machine....(i.e. has no power drive, but not that bad though. The power cord should be longer. Not easy to figure out how to work it...as the months wear on, it's easy to forget how to use the attachment feature (i.e. Requires dismantling the handle to use an attachment can be a challenge if you have poor memory or are a slow learner.), No written instructions...It's all pictures!! Conclusion: Not a bad vaccuum. Cleans well, and the power brush attachment (which runs from the suction of the cleaner) is really well worth getting for cleaning carpeted steps...regardless of whether you have an animal or not.
This thing is so well-designed and the suction.... WOW! I think it could pull the nails out of my floor, through the carpet! The down sides of all this amazing suction are two-fold for me: 1) When you extend the very long flexible hose to use with various tools, the suction is so strong that it can pull the vacuum towards you, making the hose length a moot point and, 2) If you engage the rotating brush, it will destroy your oriental rugs. The BALL is a great invention and really makes things easy, once you get the hang of it. (It's all in the wrist, folks.) The way all the pieces-parts click together is wonderful; very intuitive. Very light for such a powerful machine. Emptying the dust container is very easy but NOT for the hyper-allergic because, although the dust drops straight down into your trash, it IS dropping naked through the air, with a tendency to "poof" once it hits the bag. AND you may have to dig your fingers into the canister to remove larger pieces. All-in-all I'm VERY glad I bought this, but am keeping my ancient Electrolux canister vac for softer dusting duties.Read full review
This vacum has excellent suction and transferes from hard floors to carpet extremely easy. The suction power is so good it actually sucks the loose rugs I have at the entry doors off the ground. What I don't like about it is the way one has to carry the vacum around when using the wand and it only comes with 2 attachemnets. For the price there should have been more attachments and in my opinon the wand could have been better designed.
I've wanted a dyson ball for a long time. I bought it reconditioned, and I love it. It picks up much more than my old vacuum, and it is so easy to push and get around furniture, etc (love the ball part). It's not too loud, which I also like. The 2 thinkgs I wish were different - the power cord is not as long as other vacuums I've had and the hose is kind of a pain. I think it will get better as it stretches out, but I use the hose a lot and it is not easy to manuveur.
I love that the filter is permanant, I have previously purchased less expensive vacuums, only to find the repalcement filters very costly and hard to find! The only reason I give this a "good" rating is because it is a little hard to push around. I'm not sure whether this is because of the great suction or another issue. The "ball" aspect is just OK. It takes some getting used to and this machine is very heavy, but worth it, especially for pet owners. Ease of use is excellent after a little getting used to, but again, a little hard to push at times. This vacuum is great for getting into small spaces and the attachments are great. I highly recommend this product because it will pay for itself simply by its lifetime hepa filter (just remember to clean it out monthly, no big whoop)!Read full review
