Holds Up Well
Compared to end mills bought from a certain "source", Melin end mills hold up well. I bought the first four years ago, and only now had to replace it. I used it not only as a spotting drill, but as a chamfer mill for straight cuts. This is not a "hog" cutter, so you need to watch your feed rates. Be conservative and they last a long time. As a spotting drill, it is a star! If you have a precision sharpener, or some skill with a Dremel tool, you can further extend the mill's life. It Sat In The Tool Bin For A Long Time Before I Ever Used It
Now I use it all the time. With the correct feeds and speeds it should last a long time. For a bargain basement cutting tool it actually serves an important niche in my drilling tool line up.
