Great compilation of Saxon rock. Old school flavor. A good mix of simple yet effective guitar riffs that don't seem to get much credit these days. Great understandable vocals and meaningful songs make this a great CD set to add to your old school rock collection. The CDs have a good range of material from most of Saxon's rocking years. All of the popular songs are on this one plus some that are not so familiar. Saxon is really just straight forward rock. Not as dark or intense as Iron Maiden. Not as flashy and overdubbed as Def Leppard. Saxon kind of falls somewhere between these bands, both of which are very good bands. I enjoyed it and would recommend it to any classic rock junkie. This is not a huge box set so it won't break the bank, but it has a good amount of music (3CDs). I hope you enjoy it a much as I do. Rock on and peace be with you always.Read full review
Great collection of all the Saxon greats. Some are live but the studio originals are here as well. Three CD's. Excellent value for money.

saxon never really did it for me. There were more consistent bands around at the time.theres good tracks on this best of and worth getting if only to have some Saxon in a collection
