As cover albums go, this one is hard to beat. The first few songs will hook you, because you know them so well. After that, the Guns will startle u with their diversity and bulletproof musicianship. From 70s classics to 90s alternative and contemporary pop rock, the only blank in the clip is Little Saint Nick, and thankfully it's at the very end. Check out Don't Fear the Reaper to get a taste of Phil's stellar vocals and the smooth guitars that made me a late fan of the song. It says a lot when a band covers a song you don't like and then you love it. My personal favorites are "Cry little Sister" and "Let it Rock", where they skip Lil Wayne's rap for a headbanging thrash fest. I love this album.

I'm a sucker for good cover tunes because you get a fresh take on an old song. All of the tunes that the band decided to cover are classics, not a bummer in the bunch. They pull this off with ease, the sound & music are top notch! I do have a couple favorites though (perhaps because the original songs are amongst my favorites of all time). The version of the classic April Wine ballad "Just Between You And Me" is by far the best on this cd. Other stand-outs include a fun version of Steve Miller's "Rock N Me" & a sweet "Don't Fear The Reaper" originally by Blue Oyster Cult. If your like me and love great hard rock cover tunes then buy this...buy it now, its really good!
