When I first began to play this CD, the sound quality was great but it sounded different to me. I couldn't explain it but something about the character of the sound seemed changed from the original Greatest Hits album. I chalked it off as it being remastered. But as the CD played I noticed that the songs from the early Alice Cooper group had fade-outs that weren't originally there (that weren't on the original Alice Cooper's Greatest Hits), and I even noticed some songs were edited. That ruined it for me because the early songs were the best. Considering the amount of songs on the list my guess is that they were edited for space. Sound quality-wise, the CD was worth the purchase. And if you don't care about original songs and only want a good Best Of from Alice Cooper, this CD is for you. But if your looking for a better hits CD, look no further than Alice Cooper's Greatest Hits. You lose his solo work on that disc but you gain the better versions of the songs. Or you could just collect your favorite CDs of Cooper and make your own greatest hits. Anything would be better than this mess.Read full review

I used to listen to Alice Cooper when I was in high school back in the late seventies. Then I put my Alice Cooper albums away in favor of new wave 80's music. One day recently, I had a particularly bad day and I thought of the song "Welcome to My Nightmare". Well, I logged onto the computer and immediately downloaded the song. This lead to several more downloads and then purchasing several Alice Cooper CD's as well as Googling him to see what he's been up to the past 30 years. I had forgotten how good he really is! The songs may have a macabre edge but lyrically and musically they just plain rock. The tunes are catchy. The lyrics are well constructed and (spooky) fun. Alice Cooper is still great after all of these years! This CD is a perfect compilation of some of his best songs. I highly recommend it. I am now calling myself a born again Alice Cooper fan.Read full review
Unfortunatley when they put this cd toghether they should have used the master tapes. It sounds like they found a recording off an album and used it. Most of the greatest hits cd's that I have listened to are so much fuller that this one. It's like they didn't want to take the time a put out a quality product. Alice is Alice but this cd is lacking. My point of view.
Radio Friendly. Not that Alice relies on cussing, but songs like Dead Babies, I Love the Dead, and the like aren't on here.
