I purchased it for a young boy, the grandson of a highschool friend of mine. She asked if I could find it for her, because he heard a kid on t.v. play the Bohemien Raphsody on the program. Grandma told him that was music she went out to when she was younger...hahaha, So I got it for her to give him, shipped direclty to her for him. She opened it and listened to it while he was in school. Some groovin grannie, eh. The rock band Queen had a significant impact on modern music and was underrated in their time. This CD offers proof that they were musically sound, innovative, and still delivered the goods. The songs chosen here represent a good cross sample of their careers, from the early days through their last years. Good for the Queen fan and someone just sampling. Also see, Thin Lizzy, RUSH, White Lion, Montrose, Gary Moore, and others who had similarities.
"Bohemian Rhapsody"...one of the all-time BEST rock & roll songs ever recorded. And "One Year of Love", such a beautiful, romantic song. Freddie Mercury had such an incredible voice - thankfully it's recorded for all time. I just find myself wishing I could hear his interpretation and delivery for other pieces left unsung. As far as CD quality, there were some scratches that make it impossible to listen to certain songs.
CD in excellent condition. Listening to Freddie Mercury again brought back many memories. This group was excellent in their execution of various types of music. Their impeccable timing was flawless.
