Although hampered by misfortunes and tragedies (jon oliva's vocal problems and criss oliva's tragid death) savatage recorder a great album that showcases the bands quality The music is quite different from previous releases but on extremely high quality and features some memorable songs (chance,alone you breathe,stare into the sun,castles burning) Really Great album
"Handful of Rain", the first album recorded by the group Savatage, certainly points to the loss of Guitarist Cris Oliva, and the effect it had on the surviving band members. While the album is strong enough to stand as the marker for a new era in the band's history, the loss of Oliva is felt throughout the recording.
