DJ Qbert could very well be the best scratch DJ ever to touch a vinyl record. He won the DMC World Championships so many times that he decided to stop competing and become a judge. It was rumored that he was asked not to compete anymore because people would not battle him. He claims that he just wanted to move on and change it up. Either way, many believe that he would still be the champ today if he had kept competing. Wave Twisters is a great album not only because it shows off Qbert's unparalleled skills on the ones and twos, but also because it tells a story. Qbert has always shown support for all four elements of hip-hop: Djing, graffiti writing, break dancing, and MCing. Each track on the Wave Twisters album acts as a chapter and through the break beats, samples and scratches, Qbert tells a chronological tale of the journey of a few heros and their quest of saving the elements of hip hop from extinction. Telling a story without the use of traditional lyrics, Qbert does a great job, keeping the listener captivated and amazed at the variety, and overall ingenious rhythms and melodies that make up Wave Twisters. As a side note, this album was later made into an animated movie. The movie was somewhat unusual in that the animators and digital artists had to invent images and movements to the pre-recorded music, as opposed to the other way around. In conclusion, Wave Twisters is still the definitive album of the scratch DJ genre. I believe that there has never been another album that parallels it's flow from track to track, it's ability to tell a story, and also DJ Qbert's skills as a turntablist.Read full review
This is my most favorite Dj Q-bert album, and by far my most favorite album of all time. This CD features some very dark and evil sounding tracks! The whole cd is story played to you in sound. A must hear cd.

I was helping a friend make this purchase.It was something I will never do again.I don't think I will make another purchase on Ebay.I just recently made a much larger purchase without a problem.There was a question concerning make credit card number being used on two separate accounts.If these are charged to my creditcard and sent to me without my consent their will be a major problem.
In terms of epic scratching journeys, this album stands alone. DJ Q-Bert creates new sound after new sound to make for a crazy outerspace adventure. For some added effect check out the Wave Twisters DVD. If you're a fan of the album you'll love watching the animated version of it.
