Notes

2010 release, the fourth album from the Grammy nominated and critically acclaimed singer/songwriter. Entirely self produced, the album was recorded in two weeks at LaMontagne's home in the woods of western Massachusetts. The newly restored historic home served as a homemade recording studio for Ray and his fellow musicians. With Ray's vocals at the forefront of the songs and a loose, almost live sounding recording, the album stands as a testament to a band at the height of their powers. The newly coined 'Pariah Dogs', consists of Jay Bellarose (drums), Jennifer Condos (bass), Patrick Warren (keyboard), Eric Heywood (guitar) and Greg Leisz (pedal steel guitar).

Nice Album
I bought this CD after hearing Beg Steal or Borrow on the radio. It sounded a lot like Tracy Chapman singing a Stephen Stills song from the early 1970's with a little Chris Isaak thrown in for good measure. The back-up group is terrific especially the pedal steel player; all in all a very tight group. Several songs on the album really capture that country rock sound that I've missed so much in the world of rap music, cell phones, nose jewelry and other modern conveniences. Ray is an awesome artist with great sound,,,Its a cd to listen to while doing you know what to the wife,,and also very soothing while dropping a deuce..all in all his music rocks,,,Im suprized Anthrax didnt pick him up as their lead vocals..This is where my review ends and my anger starts for not being able to exit this crap and go on about my business,,,100 chtrs. or less,,REALLY?
