This is called "Legend" because that is exactly what Bob Marley is!
If you already know all about Bob Marley you are probably not needing any additional motivation to buy this CD. If you have heard a few Marley songs or have heard something about him, this is the CD to hear/own. Quite simply, this is an awesome collection of classic songs spanning the career of one of the most important and influential artists of our time (or any time for that matter). Do yourself a favor and become acquainted with Mr. Marley. I have never known anybody (with a lick of sense) that heard Marley and didn't like him. And, Bob Marley is not an acquired taste. Catchy, rhythmatic, powerful, anthemic, captivating, spiritual, and inspiring are just a few of the accolades these wonderful songs deserve. Few artists have had the life altering, life enrichening power of Marley. ... If you already know all about Bob Marley you are probably not needing any additional motivation to buy this CD. If you have heard a few Marley songs or have heard something about him, this is the CD to hear/own. For goodness sake, it's Bob Marley. It would take a major screw up to dim the greatness of Bob Marley. I'm not sure it could be done, even if someone tried.

A good introduction to this man’s musical legacy
Although this album isn’t all of Bob Marley’s greatest songs it is a good introduction to the man’s musical legacy. I’m pleased with the songs and will look into hearing more from this artist in the future. If you haven’t heard his songs yet this album will give you a good start to his unique style and sound.

Bob Marley Left a Legacy for All
The Bob Marley and The Wailers: Legend: The Best of Bob Marley and the Wailers CD is good, but I prefer his "Catch A Fire" CD more, because I prefer the songs better. It is a personal decision, but both are very good.
