Great CD!
Previously I wasn't a huge fan of Keyshia Cole's. I thought her voice was a bit rough, kind of street and I wondered if just anybody could get a record contract. However, she has definitely grown professionally as well as personally. After watching her reality show on T.V. I got a look at the person, Keyshia, as well as the artist. She really isn't who I thought she is. As well, her music, this CD specifically is really good. I'm enjoying the dance beats as well as the beautiful ballads on this CD. I love Sent from Heaven and Remember as well as Let It Go, I Want More, etc. I purchased this CD this year along with Alicia Keys and Mary J Blige and Keyshia is right up there with them.Previously I wasn't a huge fan of Keyshia Cole's. I have always been a Mary J fan and now I am Keyshia Cole fan!! These ladies sing with such emotion from a deep place within their soul! How can you not be effected by it?? I love Keyshia and this is another GREAT cd from her. To me, the test of a great cd is enjoying EVERY song on a cd....not just the one or two songs that are getting all the radio play. This is one of those cds. You will love it from the FIRST song to the LAST!! I will forever be a KEYSHIA COLE fan, just like I am a forever Mary J fan!! I RELATE TO YOU, KEYSHIA! I fell in love with Keyisha and he great voice that possesses such raw emotion with her debut CD: `The Way It Is'. The follow up: `Just Like You' is as great if not better. No sophomore slump here. I would say this CD has more of an upbeat sound to it as it has more upbeat songs on it than her first release. The CD starts off with the first single and a slammin song: "Let It Go" with some tight vocals from Lil' Kim and Missy Elliott - a song that you hear and instantly want to move to. Next up is a song featuring Too Short "Didn't I Tell You" that offers a great midtempo flare to it. Keyshia's vocals draw you in and catch your attention; much like a younger Mary J. Blige. Very well put together CD,the packaging is very attractive.The album has a mixture of all types of R&B which makes it nice and easy to listen to.Keisha Cole did a good job wrting many of the songs and her collaberations with other artists such as P.Diddy and Missy Elliot added diversity to the album. Overall,great job.
