Not enough live sound with the film clips on this one
The clips in this are nice, but most do not have the original sound or have talking over the clip. To me... why would anyone do that? It's music, not art works or photographs!!! The idea is to hear & see these great masters in a LIVE setting!...Couldn't they get the rights to use the sound too? Well...as far as I see it,it's a REAL bummer...They should put this DVD out again with full performances WITH sound, & cut out all the talking over the music...Let's have some respect here!!! No wonder this festival is legendary. It lais groundwork for so much more with each decade gaining new jazz followers.
