I contacted the vendor about the GM part number inscribed on the part. In the ad representing the part, the original part number was clearly inscribed. On the part I received, the part number was not there so the vendor wrote the part number in yellow paint on the part. When we tried to work out a solution, the vendor told me that I would have to return the part before they would look to see if they had another with the inscribed part number visible. They would not look for the replacement.

From the factory, sometimes the imprint is not deep enough to show through the paint so we write the part number on it. We did offer the buyer to return so we could attempt to reveal the number on the one he was sent and if we couldn't we would exchange for one with a more visible number. This seems to be a misunderstanding as we wouldn't have offered an exchange if we didn't have one. We did ask the buyer to call us so we could discuss further.
