Sound is great for listening to the ball game, good for classical music, adequate for jazz and a little weak for cranking up and rocking out. Installed in 2001 Tahoe, first speaker removed was so bad it fell out of factory mount and this speaker was perfect fit in factory mount no adapter needed. Second door speaker removed needed to be pried from factory mount and now I have unopened adapter kit
