Works very well in accordance to expectations but is disappointing it that, for whatever reason, it was not designed to work as a Bluetooth hands free with smart phones. I don't see why that was left out. That would have made it PERFECT otherwise. In fairness other brands of speakers also do not feature that either from what I have seen so there must be an explanation I am not aware of. As a music speaker it does a fine job!

The item I bought was titled as used condition, but the item was pretty banged up. Like it had been dropped multiple times or something. The photo on the listing was just a box and didn't show the actual condition of the item otherwise I would have gotten a different one. The item still works well so that's good at least.

The Marshall Emberton is a great bluetooth, portable speaker! but the unit i purchased has a defective speaker. so i took a chance by purchasing it and simply replacing the defective speaker from another defective unit, a non-charging and won't turn on one. now i have a working like new portable bluetooth Emberton. the sound is unbelievably awesome, i like audio with more solid base; i use it almost everyday. i also brought it to my vacation in Turks and Caicos and it worked great at the beach!

I read many reviews and actually heard this speaker before purchasing. The majority of reviews were positive and the overall sound quality is well balanced for such a small speaker. I was hoping for a bit more bass, but for my computer room sound I'm satisfied with it. If you're looking for a speaker with deeper base sound I would recommend reviewing and/or listening to other speakers.
