    Illegal to sell Comcast equipment!

    I bought this to avoid Comcast's monthly charge of $3.99 to rent one from them. Although this was new and still in the box, Comcast couldn't activate it. I took it to the local Comcast service store and told them it didn't work and they exchanged it for another one. I didn't tell them I bought it on eBay. The new one was activated and I avoided the monthly rental fee for a few months and then eBay started billing me for it, a piece of equipment that I owned. I refused to pay it and have been fighting with Comcast over this ever since. Based on what Comcast told me, you cannot legally own Comcast's equipment! It's NOT for sale. If you buy it, you do so illegally. Don't waste your money. It will end up costing you in the long run.

    Disappointed

    I have Comcast but I wanted to use a TV in a separate room. I called Comcast to activate it and went round and round in circles. Also there would be an additional monthly charge. I gave them all of the information from the box. Finally they said I would have to bring it into a store so they could see it. I didn't want to pay extra so I'm just using the remote. I have to play the same station on both TVs.
