this is an overly complicated camera with an instruction book about the size of a small telephone book! On the other hand it takes excellent pictures. My criticisms are a small electronic viewfinder, a not movable rear screen and the fact that it is delicate. There are warnings not to use in high humid and or dusty/sandy locations. I also have an original Sony RX100 which is a brute and can be used anywhere and is also much less complicated but lacks a viewfinder. In addition this camera has an amazing zoom lens the equivalent of a 25 to 250 mm zoom and the picture quality is excellent through out the full range. It is a bit larger and heavier than the Sony and considerably less expensive. Would I buy again? I don't know. As a travel camera, I use wide angle rather than telephoto, I like having a viewfinder for bright outdoor locations, I don't know how delicate it really is and it is both bigger and heavier than the Sony and of course it is significantly less expensiveRead full review

it is too complicated to read the manual and so far I have not got the ideal what should I use to shoot a good picture. it is not good at low lighting situation, 4K shoot is good but i does not come out the single picture. whatever, it should be a good pocket camera for travel.

I'm not rich, so i've been searching for , and dealing with (compromising) cameras for around $200 for most of my life. Couldn't ever save up enough for a really good camera. I still could never afford a $1000 or $2000 camera, but was thrilled when the ZS100's started selling for under $600. There are way too many compromises in most every compact camera on the market. Anything with a large sensor has a very narrow range to the lens, like 2x or 3x. All the super zooms have smaller sensors or lower quality optics. Cameras with a decent combination of features are way out of my price range. This ZS100 is finally a really good combination of size, lightweight, lens capacity, image quality due to Large sensor, all combined in a great package. So glad i found it and bought it online.
