    HP-23X Rebuild

    High quality PC board on quality stock. To avoid hacking repairs this board is a professional solution to keep it working another 50 years. By now most of these have defective lytics still in place. The electrolytics now on the market are better, smaller higher capacity and higher voltage ratings.than original. New metal oxide resistors are more stable with higher wattage ratings (I use all 5 watt) than original. The 1KV, 3 or 5 A. diodes fit in perfectly with better safety margin. than original. All components, caps - resistors - diodes etc.) ordered off ebay for a few dollars and you've got a like new P.S. RE-Build a Heathkit "HP-23D" tonight .

    Heathkit HP 23A power supply

    This is considered to be best in the Heathkit HP 23 series as it has a switch for different voltages as well as off on. It's solidly built and often still work after many many years built in 1967. The reset button is poorly designed and cheap, if you get no power your reset button may be permanently open and need to be replaced or repaired. Otherwise a great and very reliable PS.
