Product did not work. Several internal components were defective and needed to be replaced. However I was able to get it working and calibrated. There was no probe included, so I made one. All considered it was as stated “as is condition”. So it was bottom line a fun project with a positive outcome.

I'm in the process of refurbishing this VTVM. I have changed all caps that was needed presently testing resistors and going to add a battery eliminator plus fuse on the mains, and everything is looking good so far.

These Heathkit VTVM's are useful for their low impedance presented to the circuit under test. However, they are old and may need some restoration work. I am a qualified electronic technician familiar with tube circuitry. I am amazed at the quality Heathkit put into it's products!
