This starter replaced an "Autozone special" that stripped all the teeth off its bendix drive (luckily the ring gear survived). The Powermaster has a quality feel to it. I liked that it comes with a "dyno sheet" showing test results for that particular starter. It didn't need any shims and cranks very quietly. I have a 10:1 compression Chevy 454 and it cranks it no problem.
