The challenge of this game is like a riddle, it stumps you at first, but once you understand, it's not beyond you. It's all about being efficient, using a peticular strategem for each situation. Each type of pikmin has particular strengths, and if you can harness them in the right ways, you can defeat each kind of foe and collect all the ship's parts for Olimar, the captain. This game is great and has really hard puzzles in it, but you can save your game and try things, and if they don't work, start up from your last save, and it's good! I deffinitely recomend this to the patient player, not the instant gratification type. It's not like a fighting game with matches that last 30 seconds and you win or loose. It's about the long haul and planning a strategy for that. It can be pretty rewarding once you figue this game out. I bought this game because I had it a long time ago and sold my system, but I got a nother one and wanted to have a challenging game to play.Read full review
One of Nintendo's most creative gaming ventures. If you want a quirky game with unique gameplay, an underlying dark story and beautiful settings this is the game for you. It's a fun isolated single player experience that's more personal than a lot of the games that you would expect from Nintendo but, it still has that silly Nintendo charm that they put into all of their games.

Pikmin is a fantastic experience! If you haven’t played it yet, you definitely should do that! The game has really fun strategy and puzzle elements that really set it apart from most other Nintendo games.

Though the game's story isn't very inclusive, the gameplay is very entertaining not Just to play, but to watch as well. The limited 30 days makes it much more stimulatingly intermediate in difficulty than the 2nd one and it's solitary themes are very driving. I heartily recommend trying this game out!

This game is fun and enjoyable. It has action and excitement with good challenges. The mission of the game is recover the pieces of your ship that crash landed on a distant planet(could it be earth?). You go through 5 levels to get every ship part. When you crash land, you find a pikmin and with that one, you create an army of pikmin. In the next two levels, you find two new pikmin. Each of the three pikmin have special abilities that are determined by their colors. Red pikmin are fire resistant and have the most attack power of any pikmin. Yellow pikmin can pick up special items called bomb rocks. With those bomb rocks, they can destroy solid walls that can't be destroyed by normal pikmin attacks (the way pikmin attack is by headbutting their enemies). Blue pikmin have gills (which are not noticable)so they can get into water without drowning. The game is a little hard and somewhat stressful because you only have 30 days (each day in the pikmin world is around 15 minutes)to get 25 of your needed parts or get all 30 ship parts. Overall, this is a great and fun game, but it has a lot of flaws. I recommend looking at some gameplay videos to see how you like it.Read full review
