I've had all of the Sim City games from the first one to 3K along with streets of Sim City and one of my favorites, Sim Copter. Both 2K and 3K are basically the same with zone layouts, mass transit and disasters, but the thing that set 2K apart are the graphics, and the new and, some times funny, disasters. With the newest Sim City out, Sim City 4 I think, 3K can be found for pretty cheap anymore and is a great buy. The only thing is if you buy a used one first make sure that you can get a valid serial number from the seller and they guarantee it to be good. I think this is a great game for most people but some don't have the attention span for this kind, and yes after a while it can get boring, but for the most part it's always fun to play god and create a successful city, and even sometimes destroy it all, after you save of course.Read full review
Finally a game without blood that is actually fun. Alright, let’s start with pros: -good graphics and great details -zoomout and zoomin feature is pretty amazing -easy to manage your city and fun things to build and manage -building things are fairly cheap -different calamities to inflict are hilariously fun. Such as alien abductions, falling meteorites, fire, riots… -already-made cities to manage or mess around with. And realistic as hell. I once loaded Seoul, Korea (where I was born and raised in) and found it shocking that it was as if I was watching a satellite imagery. Same happened when I loaded Los Angeles. -very fun scenarios (city campaigns) to overcome. For example, the London Fire scenario was amazing. -pretty realistic compared to the games of its age OK. Now to cons: -managing water pipelines and electricity lines can be annoying and frustrating -getting money is almost impossible so if you get in debt, you’re screwed unless you use cheat codes -some calamities, like the hurricane, suck -riots and fires can be annoying to put out -some scenarios (city campaigns) are impossible to beat -not good for continuous playing. What I mean is, you can’t play this game for five hours straight without getting a bit tired and maybe a bit bored. So just think about those pros and cons and decide for yourself whether you want this game.Read full review

It has some noticeable problems compared to modern games, but overall it remains an enjoyable experience. Lighter on the system than newer games like Cities: Skylines
