First of all this protector is much thicker than most of the plastic protectors. Therefore it is able to take impacts and protects the screen much better if you drop it. I've had 2 experiences with the screen. Each time the protector cracked and not the screen on the phone. I am a mechanical engineer and I am pretty sure that since the protector is much thicker, it spreads the force of the impact over a much larger area which would include the protector and the screen. Therefore, making it much less likely that the screen will crack from an impact. My wife thought she cracked the screen, but it was just the protector and I went online to specifically search for this product again. I would highly recommend this product. Also, follow the directions to apply the protector. Your results will be better.Read full review
