I've gone through probably 3 or 4 of the cheap iPad keyboards, and none of them worked for longer than a few weeks. One key would die, and then another, or the whole thing would give up. They were flimsy and hard to use. This one is SOLID. It's well-made, and holds my iPad securely. It's easy to set up and use, and the backlight feature is helpful in the dark and also tells me that the keys don't have decals with the letters that will scrape off when I type. There is a bit of awkward back-and-forth between the keyboard and touch screen, and that's probably unavoidable with an iPad.

This is the heaviest and best feeling keyboard I have bought. Easy to set up and I love the backlit keyboard. It is the perfect size to carry anywhere. I only wish the speakers were located in a better spot such as the sides instead of the rear.
