This game is cute, fun, and extremely enjoyable. It was bought for my 4 year old, but I love playing it as much as he does, and I'm 32. It has elements from the movies that kids and adults alike can find in the games, and as a Lego game fan it holds up to the Lego fun. This is a game that can be played for a long time without getting bored with it. You can beat each board in the traditional way, then go back and free play to find things that are different and do challenges that get unlocked the second time around. It is a bit different than the Lego Indiana Jones, Lego Batman, and Lego Star Wars. Each of these games (we own them all) take elements from their prospective movies and adds a twist that doesn't make them all play in the same way. The Harry Potter is fun, and I would give it 5 stars!Read full review
I bought this for me and my girlfriend to play and we both enjoy it. I read about the game on forums having a ton of glitches but I have only run into 2, where the game just froze. I had to do a hard reset to get back on. When I got the game I had to do an update I'm assuming to correct the glitches. As for the game itself we beat it once and are going back to collect everthing we missed, this game has a ton of collectables. It took about 13 hours for us to beat and not once did we git bored. Some of the loading times can be a little long but nothing bad, maybe 20 seconds the longest I've run into. If your a big Harry Potter fan you will love this game. You have to have watched the movies though since there is no spoken dialoge what so ever. This is our first Lego game and I'm not sure if all Lego games are like that but it fits well with the atmosphere. Overall It's a good game and I might want to check out the Lego games too, see what we have missed.Read full review
This game has all the Lego action of previous games, plus! I'm not going to spoil any of the surprises but they are many. Free play has a whole new dimension in Harry Potter. I used to go back and play just my favorite levels, but here, the complexity doubles as you gain advantages from upper levels and take them back to all the previous levels! I will only leak one of the special differences to this Lego game: it teaches gamers to build levels. Fun!
My daughter fell in love with this game right away. Multiplayer option is great so a parent or sibling can co-play. Very entertaining and funny
Verified purchase: Yes | Condition: Pre-owned
This was a gift for my 7 year old and we all love the Lego games. As a fan of the books and movies, I enjoy the elements that have been used from both. The play is challenging enough to be interesting but not so hard that a child or inexperienced adult can't get through it. We're still at the beginning but I can tell that we will have many hours of enjoyment playing this together.
