Chinese Old Timer Schrade Barlow
Well made sharp and really cool looking as well as practical. Cheap price for the quality. If American made probably a $25 or better knife. I usually avoid Chinese or Pakistan made knives. Glad I didn’t this time. Carry not a collection addition. Love USA Barlow’s and Old Timers. I can pretend this one is USA made and puff up when I take it out to use or skin something because I’m going to throw away the box that says made in China. 😀 Love those Barlows!! Not junk but not that great
The 280OT is a functional but ho hum imported knife that does boast attractive faux bone handles. Chrome plated bolsters arrived with surface flaws, possibly under the plating or the result of scraping before assembly. Small blade is a chore to open and a stiff spring is probably the reason so I don't expect it to loosen up much. Big blade operates smoothly with reliable half stop. I happen to like Barlows. Except for the nice scales, this one is about as low as I would want to go in quality and still want to carry around with me.The 280OT is a functional but ho hum imported knife that does boast attractive faux bone handles. Good knife
I bought this knife because I had the "mighty might" but lost it on a camping trip... main reason I decided on this one and not another might might is cause I only bring one knife out camping usually... the big blade makes the knife a great paring knife with a smaller blade for carving or random tasks... this knife also has the same old timer quality blades for being sharp n staying sharp!
