I have a Specialized bike pump, and a battery powered portable compressor for the car. The heads on both broke. Saw this product and ordered one. The tube to the bike pump was too large in diameter for the Lezyne. I shaved it down a bit with a grinder and got it to fit. I have bikes with both type valves and the Lezyne works better than the clamp type head that came with the pump. So I ordered a second one for the compressor. It had the opposite problem. It's tube was too small in diameter. I had to wrap some electrical tape around it to get it to secure. I haven't used that yet, but as long as you have some room around the valve to twist the head you should be ok. If you're blocked by the hubcap or wheel you might need to get a valve extender and then attach the Lezyne to that.

I have been a cyclist for 40 plus years. This is one of the best pump heads I have ever used. It is the only pump head that I have used that has the pressure release button. Very nice feature. The only drawback I experienced is that it is made to fit the Lezyne hose. I had to trim the outside diameter of my Silca hose down to fit. I do not recommend doing this. This is the reason I gave it 4 stars.

Flawless operation, easy to use (read the directions...), Solid build. Modified other brand pump hose to fit. Locks on, seals solid... Much less effort and more consistent results than the lever chuck that came with my (not so cheap) pump. Very satisfied, totally worth it to eliminate the headaches inherent to the typical lever chuck design.

I was looking for an easy to use chuck especially for my 16" wheels Brompton folding bike. This screw-on chuck works great and is easy to use on these smaller wheels. Your typical standard chuck is just too big and cumbersome to use on these wheels. The Lezyne ABS-2HP chuck is also of excellent quality. Would not hesitate to purchase again.

I attached this pump head to an older pump. Candidly, I had to do some surgery to the hose which was of a slightly larger diameter than what would ideally fit on it. If you are careful, you can shave off the circumference of any tube which is too large by first putting it carefully in a pencil sharpener and then shaving it with a razor knife until if fits snugly. I used some heat shrink tubing and silicone tape to make certain the head stayed connected to the tube and after several weeks of pumping up tires on two bikes to 100 psi with the Presta connection and a garden tractor with the Shraeder to 20 lbs, everything works perfectly. The design of the Lezyne is really well thought out. I reasoned that if it didn't work, I'd just buy a complete Lezyne pump and have a spare head, but I doubt that will be necessary. I should caution any bicyclist tinkerers considering this, it's not a trivial 5 minute job, it probably took me 30 minutes to do it carefully, checking my progress every couple of minutes. It's not the prettiest conversion, but It was definitely worth the effort.Read full review
