Been using these for years and as long as you protect the wires from raccoons, they live forever. I have a couple that have been in use 24/7/365 for over 8 years. Since it is a real solar cell with glass on front, they don't get cloudy and start losing output like some plastic covered ones on the market. Coupled with a nice 6v7ah SLA battery, it is about as trouble free as you can get. Do try to mount the solar panel above the spinner as corn dust will settle in it and decrease efficiency.
