This piston stop is a factory replacement for the original, and as such works fine. Both are plastic pieces and I'm sure this won't last long just like the original. I cast small plastic pieces as one of my hobbies, and I can tell you this piece is overpriced in orders of magnitude. I need another air nailer, but you can bet it won't be this model.

considering that it is only a piece of rubber/plastic it is way over priced. However it is cheaper than a new nail gun at more than $100...

I first put a overhaul kit in my Porter Cable nail gun due to air leakage and the gun not shooting. After installing the overhaul kit and holding air pressure my gun would not drive a nail. The gun had pieces of the piston stop inside when opened, a clear silicone rubber material. After installing the piston stop my gun works like new again being 10+ years old. I find spending $60 for both items was $100 cheaper than purchasing a new gun.

Fit my PC finish nailer just fine. Stopped it from leaking air. Nailer would still fire but only got a few nails before compressor couldn't keep up with air leak. Nailer now works like new.

This solved my finishing nailer woes. The nailer would fire but did not drive the nail. The hammer/slide was not engaging the nail. This fixed that problem perfectly.Assemble the parts (spring and piston especially) in the order shown in the diagram, even it does not seem to matter. It does. Trust me.
