It's kinda like fiberglass It comes with a thick quality cap and the best thing is that it doesn't leak, I had two Dorman ones fail in a year, They blow out around the neck and cause all sorts of trouble. This tank is made much stronger around that neck where the cap goes. It even comes with a mopar part number tag tied to it..
