They worked.
Bottom line is this handle worked. Replaced handle on ‘03 Tacoma last night and it feels almost as solid as OEM for about 100$ less. I’m impressed so far. Will have to wait and see how it holds up long term.

Handle was defective and doesn't work
Installed the new door handle right side, malfunctioned after two openings. Removed and inspected, latch mechanism was misaligned and deformed, looked like a factory defect. . Can't open that door now, and don't trust the driver side replacement. so won't install that side. Also have to compensate my mechanic for his time. Really disappointed. Spent more on the upgrade metal handles from a different supplier, they were greatInstalled the new door handle right side, malfunctioned after two openings. You get what you pay for. Pros: The plastic handle matches the look and fit of the original part. It is a cheaper option. You actually get both door handles, not just one. Cons: The hardware is cheaply made. The plastic hook that pushes down the metal arm is too short. Instead of pushing the rod down to trip the latch, the hook pushes the rod AWAY from the door, keeping the latch from tripping.You get what you pay for. Pros: The plastic handle matches the look and fit of the original part. It is a cheaper option. You actually get both door handles, not just one. Cons: The hardware is cheaply made.
