    Excellent replacement

    Tried several remote key fobs from other sellers but had no luck programming them to work with my Daughter's LR3. For others trying to make an extra or a replacement, you can do it without paying the high cost of a dealer key. You don't need to go to the dealer at all. The blade can be cut by any locksmith with a sidewinder-type duplicator key machine. You can then program the remote yourself with a GAP Diagnostics iidtool. Not a cheap tool but, if you want to work on your LR3 yourself, you can't afford not to have one.

    Don’t waste your time

    Once a Land Rover key is written to, it cannot be written to again. If you try to use just the case, you’ll destroy it trying to open it. Locksmith couldn’t even do anything with it, so I ended up having to go to the dealer. This was a complete waste of money.
