With Ford's lack of insight in being able to sell just the part that breaks, I was concerned I would have to pay $400 for the entire center console JUST to get this small latch. It works but
The latch arrived well ahead of schedule. For its ourpose, it is of pretty good quality. I bought the gray and it matched perfectly. The spring does not work as well as I’d hoped. It seems to be a little shorter than required but the door closes successfully and stays closed while in the upright position.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! Thought I was a goner when my grey “OEM” console latch died and I discovered that Ford would only sell the entire console (as well as salvage yards) ouch. Was going to go with Velcro until I saw this. Purchased the black one ‘cause I thought it would contrast nicely with the grey and would be easy to spot for access...boy was that a great choice! Works super, looks better and took all of 5 seconds to install! Ooooh yeah!Thank you, thank you, thank you! I was impressed and glad to see that it was a well made solid part. I am also thankful I was able to buy this part and avoid paying over $200 for the arm rest top.
