LX176 seat replacement
The seat appears to be good. But I expected it to be metal as what was on the lawnmower as OE. I have 3 of these same type mowers and it has taken many years for the condition to be poor enough to replace it. What my surprise was it was all plastic vs. the metal frame. It will most likely out-last me but surprised.. The price for a all plastic seat is much too high. I have worked in the plastic field for 40+ years and know there is a wide range of quality and availability of plastics. This seat should have been more in the $50-$60 range based on the type of plastic and quality of the cover. Just my opinion.The seat appears to be good. John Deere Replacement Seat
Fits my LX176 very well. I only had to drill one small hole in the bottom to be able to reattach the safety mechanism - other than that it was a very tight/exact match. I can tell it will ride a bit higher than the OEM seat, but no worries there.
