It’s not OEM quality
I thought I would give a less expensive brand a try since JD parts are pretty high. I noticed when I opened the box that plastic flashings from the molding process were everywhere. I was able to trim the part to look fairly finished and then installed it. The fit was very close but not exact. When I began installing the four screws I felt like I would break the part of I went further I took a slightly larger drill bit and opened the hole allowing the screws to seat easily. I suppose for the price I should be happy but I think I’ll pay extra next time and get a good part. I thought I would give a less expensive brand a try since JD parts are pretty high. its a very poor aftermarket product. The mold they use comes out with very sharp corners where i cut myself just pulling it out of packing and where you open hood at opening the rib where you grab onto is also very sharp and will cut you unless you file all these spots down .and the quality of the plastic isn't the same as a factory hood. However for price i guess you can't complain to much. The plastic also from mold isn't perfect either i see ripples in the plastic .but again its made in china and not the same quality as a factory hood but it does work and make your mower look better. Replacement hood not an exact match.
