Great replacement seat
This seat replaced the 35 year old seat on my John Deere mower. There were several bolt patterns on the bottom and one set matched perfectly. The seat came with the required bolts. The quality seems excellent, with a metal bottom and what seems to be thick vinyl. The old seat had delaminated with some of the foam gone. This seat has significantly better support then the old one. Well worth the price paid. This seat replaced the 35 year old seat on my John Deere mower. Decent replacement
If you're looking for a comfortable, well made seat, buy it. If you're restoring a JD, be aware the seat back pan is punched with a dozen or more holes and does not sport a JD decal. I'm not sure the purpose of the "universal" hole mounts on the back of the seat pan. Will use it on my daily driver, and look for something more suitable for my restoration project. The photos show the holes if you look carefully. I missed it. My bad...If you're looking for a comfortable, well made seat, buy it. Yellow John Deere Replacement Seat
My seat was purchased for a 1987 John Deere 165 Hydro Lawn Tractor to replace a aftermarket seat that didn’t work out so well. This seat has multiple threaded holes for various seat bracket configurations with four 5/16-18 bolts included. I had no problem mounting this seat onto my existing John Deere seat brackets. This seat has two drain holes at the rear area of the seat cushion/back rest for drainage. This seat is very comfortable - Just like the original OEM seat was. This seat is as close to the actual John Deere yellow seat that I have found - But Cheaper In Price. Not Bad For Less Than $100. Seat is easy to install, comfortable to sit on. Just be careful while removing the old seat to keep track of the bolts and washers and be sure to reinstall them in the same order as they originally were.
