For the average person, this phone should do everything you need--calling, texts, emails, web browsing, voice commands, 2 cameras, etc. If you are using it for your business or in place of your computer, maybe you need something more, but for average use it is very functional, all for under $100. The online users manual is a bit skimpy, but you can usually answer questions with a Google search. We have had good luck with LG phones, and I would recommend this one

The G3 is the only phone I've ever had. I chose it for the big screen but I fell in love with the double tap to wake/sleep function. I stayed with this model because the newer ones added nothing I cared about and removed features I liked (like the replaceable battery). The double tap wake/sleep function is something I haven't seen on any other brand of phone as described in their ads. But I've had to replace my G3's every year or 2 because of camera problems. Until the last 2 I bought new or unused. The first kept rebooting so never really got to use it at all. I ordered a replacement but that one came with camera problems right out of the box. It takes dreadful pix in bright light and even worse when the flash flashes. It only takes good pix in a dimly lit room. And that coupled with the 2-hour battery life in standby mode has made me go back to the last one I bought that actually works. The experience has made me think maybe I don't need a smartphone with a big screen and a built in camera.Read full review

'LG G3' VS985 32GB smartphone is OK. It's not great but it is adequate. It is thin and this makes it breakable, you will need a firm case. Bright screen but not in direct sun, need to turn sideways. Software is similar to other Android systems but there are extra garbage programs taking up space. Fits in a woman's hand well, even with a hard case. The phone is semi light but the case adds about 1/2 again the weight. Battery gets warm on near constant use, just short of too hot to handle and BE SURE to elevate it slightly when charging so the heat can dissipate. Battery life will last all day on mild use but playing semi-intensive games you will get around 5-6 hours before recharging. Recharge is about 3 hours from 25%. The mono speaker sound is clear and can push to semi-loud without distortion. It is a worthy phone but I would prefer 10-15% larger screen for my avg. male hands. Could use a 1/2 again longer battery life. It would NOT hurt to have a mini fan when the battery gets hot. Sure that eat up the battery life but won't melt or catch fire like that OTHER brand (2016). HOPE THIS HELPS.Read full review

LG G3 works fine for NEARLY two years it then starts to have issues. Screen glass edges are not well protected, chipscracks way to easy. Forward camera, can't focus. I've changed the plugin lens, I feel the motherboards software causes it. Screen slowly starts to dim as the Leds age. Partly cloudy skys to sun you just can't see what's on the screen, PATHETIC! Sound? Speaker points out the rear so others can hear it, DUH?!!! Headphone jack, you just get a poor connection. 32 GB memory, when it gets 1/2 full Phone slows down dramatically, reboots don't help. Sim Card holder looses connection, paper filler lasts a week or two. WHY? POOR SOLDERING. The only thing good is its lightness. I have avg. size hands, fits fine but it should have built in finger strap on the back. This phone is worth maybe $125 new, not $300+ WOULD I REFER IT? OH H3LL NO.Read full review

Four stars is not "better than expected". It is acceptable with problems not mentioned. The LG G3 never had a long battery life; it never was a small mobile phone. It is a great phone only in that it has IR (infrared) technology, making it great for those times the remote to the TV or streaming device is lost or in the hands of a toddler. The description should have included that the notification button flashes blue, then green. This means the phone overheated at some point in its life.
