    I'm comfortable With This Because...

    People usually have their favorite brand of tool, I like Makita. I have an obsolete Makita 12 volt drill found in a neighbor's trash, I did a Frankenstein job with another trash find- an Hitachi 18 volt Li-Ion battery pack and grafted them together, it runs great, powerful, fast(er) than ever and works hard for me. I expect the same from this recon'd grinder too, it's got the right DNA. ☺

    Anticipate some operating problems

    Wish you had a "maybe" selection. It's not clear yet whether it was worth buying or recommending to others. Have not used it except to change discs, plug it in etc., But 2 possible problems already incl lock button only sometimes secures the head, & the on-off toggle switch doesn't always stay in the ON position. The plastic ridge on its underside is probably wearing down. Refurbishment seems to have been on some simple formula that didn't incl these.

    Solid well built grinder that meets my usage needs

    (I'm a home do it yourselfer, not a contractor using this grinder on a professional daily basis): Bought this for stone, tile and metal work with a preference for ac/dc over batteries. Does the job with disks from local box store. Has multi position safety shield and handle, more than enough rpm for my needs. I bought a returned/re-conditioned unit for a discounted price. So far so good.

    Thumb activated On / Off switch difficult to turn on using one hand on grinder

    Good power. Good weight. Good grip size. Problem is the switch to turn on. It is difficult to engage the trigger . This model you must use your thumb and it is hard to do without using both hands.

    Appears to be a good tool

    When I received the grinder it appeared to be in brand new condition and I have tested it but not used it as of yet so that is why I am only giving it 4 stars because in the past I have had problems with CPO remanufactured tools
