This is my second copy of this book. It is alot of fun to read. Several great stories of people who have hiked the A/T. The good times and the bad. Grandma Gatewood, Warren Doyal,"Jumpstart" Hensly who started his through hike by parachuting onto mount springer. The late Earl Shaffer the first man to ever through hike the A/T, and many more. This book covers it all. A must read for the die hard hiker to the "weekender" and everyone in between. Whiteblazers, Blueblazers, and yellowblazers alike will enjoy this easy to read book by Larry Luxenberg.
As I am planning a partial hike of the trail I found this book both helpful and interesting as it tells the story of those that have hiked it and their thoughts and suggestions
