Bought new boat and was in need of a charger that runs off of my boat motor not a long extension cord...I like clean neat and as less cables as possible. Works well, however I have new batteries and a 2016 115hp mercury outboard. Glad I bought it have not had any problems since I been using it.

I have installed the charger on a 6M plate boat with the trolling batteries in the front house batteries at the rear, the charger comes with 2M of cables on each end which left me a few metres short extended the lead from the house battery. On completion of installation the trolling batteries had 12.6 V after running the motor it only took 2 minutes before the charger diverted power to the trolling batteries after a further 20 minutes running at idle the batteries had 13.4 V. only problem the equivilant to this item sold in Australia is triple the price.
