First of all, I'm surprised with how nice this laptop looks, and coupled with the great specs, this is an overall great deal for the price. It really has all the specs I could want from a smaller, non-gaming laptop. I've only had this for about 1 week at this point, and so far so good. The main issue I have is a small spot of backlight bleeding on the upper right corner. It's a small part of the screen, so I can live with it. It's also only visible when the screen is dark. There is also a small scratch on the back of the laptop, but not a bog deal.

Okay, I just got my second R5 after the first one had a row of keys that would no light up (dead pixels?)...I know, minor to some but with poor vision, I am dependent on the backlighting...Hoping for the best, as well as trying to put statistics on my side, I ordered another one. This one was scuffed and marked like the other, the space bar was pretty worn down...obviously used. I could live with that. While typing and the computer won't stop making noise, coupled with constant movement from the screen. I take a look at the hinges and the screen is really out of alignment (when looking down from the back in "laptop" mode ;-) the right and left side do not match up at all. In "tent" mode on a flat surface it looks all jacked up. So, I am just wondering am I the only one that got maybe a scratch and dent disguised as a refurbished??Read full review

If your budget is tight and you want great laptop, then this is it except for 2 small dents on top not even visible in sunlight except in light, that's why it's refurbished but everything is new and all ports are shiny. The audio quality is great and far better than XPS 13, touch is great with average battery life around 7hr(full browsing). Overall...great buy and never been happy like this, but take care. If you are harsh user like me, probably buy some insurance. But don't if you don't want to succumb to insurance companies.

I am using it for the last 3 weeks. Though they said it is refurbished. It looks like new without any blemishes anywhere. As you can see the specifications are excellent and performance is very good for the price I paid. It is very light and sleek looking along with really good performance. The touch screen operates well in lap top mode as well as tablet mode. I am not a big fan Windows 10 tablet, but it is ok. The size 14 inches for a tablet looks a little too big and unwieldy. I prefer to use it more as an ultra book. Very satisfied. Did not take any extra warranty and hope it works past the initial warranty.

When buying new laptops I look for ones that aren't trying to combine some nice hardware with other (need to get rid of this overstock hardware) You see it all the time, slow wifi cards, crappy low resolution screens, and most common slow crappy hard drives. In this case all those were great (wireless AC, SSD 256, and 1080 screen) On top of that we have a good battery, backlit keyboard, and solidly made (but light) housing. Most of the time it would codt twice as much to get all these things in 1 little laptop, so this was a great deal!!!
