Slaughter Sport is one of five games from the publisher Razorsoft. Now infamous for making notoriously bad games for the Sega Genesis. Slaughter Sport is Razorsoft's second effort at the Sega Genesis. The game play in this title is what makes this game so bad. The controls are sticky, and lag sometimes. It is nearly impossible to pull off a special move on your opponent, and the computer opponents are so ridiculously hard, that in most fights you can't even land a hit on your opponent. There a couple of good things to say about this game. First, the graphics aren't half bad for such an early Sega Genesis release. Second, there is an interesting cast of characters to choose from in 2 player fights. Third, you've got to appreciate that Razorsoft tried to publish titles for a mature audience, so the company was not afraid to add blood and other mature content in their games. Overall, I recommend this game to serious Sega Genesis game collector's only because of it rare collectibility. But, for people who want to purchase vintage Sega Genesis game to play them, I would stay away from this game, and spend your hard earned cash on a newer, improved, fighting game from Capcom (hint, hint).Read full review
