Easy to assemble, rides well, 60 lb pit mix Luci fits with plenty of room. Quality is good, has plenty of pockets. I looked at trailers for weeks and this one is just right. The top unzips so the dog can stick her head out and get a good breeze. The small front opening can be a window or a door; same goes for the rear opening. Thought the leash inside wasn't going to be necessary - until she tried to jump out. For safety and stability, use the leash. We attached it to Luci's body harness so if she did try to make a break for it, she would be better anchored and not expose herself to injury. I recommend using the inside leash with a body harness instead of a neck collar...just in case. After assembling, the trailer attached to my bike easily enough through my bike's quick-release pin. It feels secure when pedaling the 40 lb trailer and the 60 lb dog. When the dog moves I can feel it, but it doesn't throw me off. NOW: THAT FLIMSY BOTTOM. As other reviewers mention, the sewn-in bottom is pretty flimsy. My guess is that they added a just-strong enough bottom to keep the overall weight (& cost) low. Prior to this purchase we discussed building one ourselves - then realized it would be far too heavy without the hollow metal tubing. I imagine we'll eventually have to reinforce it with plywood as other reviewers have, but that's par for the course for heavy items that succumb to heavy use. The 5 stars should really be like a 4.75, but only because a light, strong material could have strengthened the bottom, and because it would be cool if the top had the same screen that the front and rear doors have. Overall I recommend this trailer.Read full review

The trailer was easy to put together right out of the box. Everything seems solidly made. My dog, a 70 lb. retriever mix, hopped right in (with the help of a treat.) I'd recommend avoiding uphill climbs until your legs are ready for it. Also, keep both the bike and trailer tires fully inflated to make the work less arduous. Unless someone can hold the bike for you while you get your dog inside it's best to lay the bike down during this procedure. Overall, I'm very pleased with the product and look forward to many more bike path destinations with my dog. I used to avoid biking with my wife because it meant leaving my Mojo at home; now we can go altogether. That's definitely a plus, as everyone is happy.

I have had many trailers over the years. I am very satisfied with the HoundAbout Classic Large. It fits my Royal Standard Poodle with room to stretch, turn or lay down. He weighs 70 pounds. The windows and doors are placed in a way that makes it functional while attached to the bike. The quality, tracking while riding and maneuverability is excellent. My only wish is that it came in black- but the blue is working fine with my new bike!

Great product, fairly easy to put together. Also easily folds down and wheels come off to transport in your car. Hills can be tough when loaded down with trailer and dog but it builds the quads! Overall very happy with this product.
