We've all heard about the extraordinary way the German Mark's value collapsed in the period 1918 - 1924. Between the beginning of 1922 and the end of 1923, the cost of any given item increased by a factor of ten billion: that is, an item costing 1 Mark in early 1922 sold for 10,000,000,000 Marks by the end of 1923. The same thing happened in Zimbabwe during the years 2007 - 2008, and you can see it clearly in this nice set of Zimbabwe bills from that period. The set includes all the bills printed during that era, up to the largest one, which had so many zeros in it, the bill had to be made bigger and the print made smaller, just to get the number one hundred trillion printed on it. Nicely bound and displayed in clear display pages that show both sides of the bills, this is a great way to show the decline of the Zimbabwe dollar during those two years. BankNoteWorld. has done an excellent job of helping to preserve these uncirculated bills. You would pay a lot more buying the bills separately.Read full review

Note amount is one of the largest in the world--FUN to have as a collector. The note is very well portected in a plasitc slip and is uncirculated currency. There is a question if there might be a revaluation of some currancies but even if that never happens this is fun to have since it is an unusual design--and I think might be the largest amount ever printed in one bill. If you love history. you will love owning this IMO.

I bought this because I collect currencies of societies that have embraced socialism and gone belly up. Zimbawe's currency is so worthless that stores warn customer's not to use it as toilet paper because it will clog the toilets. This is a reminder to me of what fiat currencies can do and what governments who believe as long as they can print money will not have an economy that dies of abuse. Hungary, Weimar Germany, Argentina, Venezuela, Zimbawe, Puerto Rico, are good examples of what irresponsible politicians can do and what happens to people who depend on the full faith and credit of their governments. It can happen here. 100 TRILLION DOLLARS, actual worth about three cents.

I am investing in Zimbabwe currency. Bank Note World comes highly recommended from other investors for assuring that their products are authentic. The last thing I want to do is go to the bank someday in the future to exchange foreign currency into U.S. Dollars and find that I have counterfeit money that is worthless.
