Unwanted noise forced the removal of the engine and transmission. Upon removal of the transmission from the engine, I found the clutch fork had a broken spring that connected the clutch fork to the bell housing ball. The throw out bearing was also broken. The clutch fork was replaced along with the throw out bearing and reinstalled in a new engine. All parts worked perfectly and fit as originally designed by Pontiac. I would recommend this part as a duplicate of the original design.
