i have an older Manhasset classic stand. When compared to the newer one obtained through eBay, the older unit is made of a higher quality sheet metal (or at least a slightly denser metal). As a result the newer unit is lighter in weight. All other aspects seem identical.

This is exactly what I needed for my large alter bible. The stand is sturdy enough to handle the weight ans size. It is adjustable so when I am sitting at my desk I can adjust it as needed. This is a very sturdy stand, capable of holding all necessary music and a variety of lighting options. It is built to last. I would have preferred it the height could be adjusted a few inches, but it isn't so much a problem as it is taking time to adjust to this stand.
