Matt Damon (The Bourne Trilogy) stars as Chief Warrant Officer Roy Miller in this Iraq war movie about the search for WMD's in War time Iraq. Miller is in charge of a unit that is searching for WMDs, only problem is they keep running into empty buildings that have never contained any. In his search for the truth about the WMDs, Miller soon learns that there is more to this story than is being told. This is a fast paced, action packed edge of your seat thriller but with a political agenda. Damon gives a good performance in this role and most of the story is true to times however the story itself is fictional. Also starring in this movie are: Greg Kinnear, Brendan Gleeson, Amy Ryan, Khalid Abdalla, Jason Isaacs and Yigal Naor. This is a good movie and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys a great war movie.Read full review
The movie seems to accurately portray what is going on in the fighting in the Middle East. It should open the eyes of people to the fact that every thing is not what it appears. Colonel Oliver North told congressman Daniel Inuay during questioning aabout the Iran-Contra affair, after a remark about losing the Vietnam conflict, "Sir, that war was lost right here in Washington,D.C." I bought the movie because I heard that it was good, action packed, and followed reality much as possible. It makes you wonder what (or who's) agenda is the wars we engage in really about? I recommend hte movie to anyone who is interested in seeing the possibilities for the reasons of conflicts and help them realize everything reported by the media may not be accurate information.
this movie is amazing. i loved every second of it. matt damon plays a chief in the us army leading the team dispatched to find the wmd's in iraq. greg kinnear stars as the man in charge of the entire iraq operation who keeps giving damons unit the intel on where the weapons are. after miss after miss damon starts to question the intel and accidentally discovers a secret meeting between sadaams top generals. when the jack of clubs escapes damon joins the cia to find him and bring him in while greg kinnear tries to put a stop to it after butting head with the cia's top operative in iraq which all leads to one final showdown in the end. this movie is a must see!
PAUL GREENGRASS IS AMAZING!!! I HAVE SEEN THE BOURNE FILMS HE DIRECTED AND THIS IS JUST SPECIAL. I LIKE HOW THE MOVIES SHOWS THAT UMDs ARE A CONSPIRACY ACT OF THE US GOVERNMENT TO INVADE IRAQ. BAD INTEL MEANS ALWAYS MEANS COVER UP FOR SOMETHING ELSE. MATT DAMON IS AMAZING AS HIS ROLE AS USUAL....BUT I EXPECTED A LOT MORE FROM HIM THAN JUST GUNS BLAZING. WISHED HE SHOW MORE OF HIS MARTIAL ARTS EXPERIENCE.
Great movie, and It may be true. I do not give it a excellent because of the language is used. Not a family movie. I would not play this movie to any child. There are all so some torture parts also. Well you get the picture. Very good acting, and the plot is great. This remind me of the " The Hurt Locker" in way and "The Kingdom". Lot of action, and guessing about the plot. This shows the USA not as clean as it claims to be. :(
