It’s a good tool not great for the money. I had a F250 and I tried the 2nd speed and no dice. I was a little worried it was not able to handle the job. Then I tried the 3rd speed and voilà it was able to break loose each lug nut. I would have rated it a 5 but it paused after each nut that was really tighten on. Pause is the only way to describe it. It would click once when I pressed the button but not spin, I engage the button again and it worked as suppose to. These lugs it took off were tightened on at Firestone with pneumatic impact wrench. So this tool does have good power. I checked my battery also it had 4 bars. So it may be a protective mechanism to keep it from overheating. I am a fan of ryobi bc as a homeowner it’s good tools for the price.

Less power than I expected. I wasn't sure if it had the power to bust a lug nut and it doesn't. I bought the impact wrench because it was advertised at 350 foot pounds of torque. I had some suspension work to do on my 2014 RAM 1500 and wanted to see if the P261 could save me some time. It was helpful in most cases but couldn't budge some of the bolts. I use a torque wrench on the wheel lug nuts (105#) and it couldn't move them. I have quite a few of the Ryobi 18v tools and I really like the convenience of cordless tools. Still a good tool just not as powerful as I needed.

I read many reviews on this tool before buying it, they mostly sounded positive. One mentioned using this tool to remove lug nuts which were hard to break loose with the tire iron. Well, my wrench must be defective because, to remove 3 of 5 lug nuts I needed to first break them loose. They had been hand tightened using a 15 inch breaker-bar, and the threads were lubricated with anti-seize. Once loose the wrench, set on most powerful setting, finished removing the nuts quickly. On the plus side I need not worry about stripping threads, breaking studs, or warping the rotor from over tightening. It does speed things up, and feels right in my hand, so I give it a 4 stars.

Lots of power. Love the 3 speeds and ease of switching speeds and direction. Handy light. I bought this mostly because I have a lot of other Ryobi tools(Drill,Dust Buster Vac,hedge trimmer, weed eater, others) that use the same 18 volt batteries. ALL have performed to my expectations.

I am not a professional mechanic but I use my tools on a frequent basis. I have high expectations when I shell out $100 or so for something. This impact has great torque and the battery pack lasts. If you’re looking for weekend use or on a budget this is a great option in my opinion. I have a ryobi set as well and having interchangeable batteries is awesome.
