In the past I have had fast and tippy boats but this time I wanted a stable craft to do some serious fishing and also haul camping gear. I took this one out today and was very impressed with the stability. My family came with me to swim but they all had a paddle and now I am trying to figure out how I can afford to buy four more. It was nice that it came with a paddle but I will be buying a new paddle soon. It was a little short for me and the blades are very plain and standard. If you are looking for a reasonably inexpensive kayak to do some fishing, touring or camping, then this one would be a good choice.

This is a very stable kayak. I can stand up on it. It is great for fishing. Even a kid could paddle it around. I weigh 115lbs and this kayak did fine with me and a 60 lbs kid sitting in front of me. It does leak in the hull slightly and the manufacturer said it is normal to bring on some water. It has drain plugs so no problem with draining it. If you are heavier, I would recommend getting some scuppers to put in the self-bailing holes. Definitely recommend. I bought mine from Walmart for $279.

I’ve looked at a lot of different kayaks and love the quality to price ratio. It’s not outrageously priced but is very good quality. Owner is very easy going attentive to my needs!
