This is an economical value for a good product. The unit is very light and in ways seems flimsy but has good suction and is easy to maneuver. I found the unit pretty quiet compared to previous vacuums I have owned. Really like the longer cord. Is refurbished so expect it to look used in some ways. Have only used a couple of times and am impressed with the results so far. Have not had to replace bag yet so cant speak ease of replacement but replacements are widely available and reasonably priced. Very satisfied with the product.

Bought this for my wife who has back issues and has a hard time with the heavier sweepers. I knew it would be cheaply made so I was prepared for that. Yep...... it is very cheaply made. The unit they sent me appears to have been used a lot before refurb'ing it so that sucks. When you buy a refurbished item, it's usually something that was returned new because it didn't work. This appears to have been used hard for a year and then broke under warranty and was repaired. In my mind, that's not refurbished, that's used and repaired. It also has white powdery crap all over it that doesn't want to come off. Looks like I bought it at a garage sale. There is a slight whistle with the motor running but is quite a bit quieter than my Hoovers. Also, you know how an extension cord gets stiff when it's left out in the cold? That's how this cord is when it's warm so be prepared to fight that tangle every time you go to use it. You get to a point where you've made something so cheap that there isn't anything to like about it, they did that here. Would have been nice if they would have spent the extra $.15 for the softer rubber cord. I know I would have paid for that. Aside from that we love it. LOLRead full review

Best vacs are the old school bag it ones. Less dust in the air than with bagless brands.. light weight and lm pleased. Extension vacuum rod too short but that's it it's a nice vacuum and I'm glad I went back to the bag type ...less mess

After about 10 years of frustration with bagless vacuum cleaners not holding suction I decided to go old school back to a bagged vacuum cleaner. I bought one for myself and one for my daughter. We both love them! The suction is unreal and the vacuum was very easy to put together-2 screws and it just runs tight and is so easy to use. It is very lightweight so steps are not a problem. The only thing is that the lock used to keep it upright in place can get dislodged and the vacuum goes tumbling down unexpectantly. But other than that, I still give it 5 stars because for the quality and ease of use. I do not regret this purchase and urge others to goo back to old school thinking. Thanks!

IF only 1/2 star could be given. I can understand why these are being sold as "factory refurbished". Very little suction, NO positive indication that the bag is installed correctly, and it WILL come off the attaching point, AND it was impossible to keep the flexible hose attached to where it attaches to the rotating/motor head, where the rotating brush is located. As it is, I solved that problem with a couple of hose clamps and a short piece of hose, the bag NOT staying in place, I don't think will be so easy of a fix. I bought this as a standby vacuum, BUT, I will go to a vacuum cleaner repair place and buy something MUCH better. BTW, it is listed as being cordless, but this model 1739R IS a corded model
